About us

Bournemouth University in association with St Peter's Church, Bournemouth and the Shelley Frankenstein Festival

We are a group of 3 third year History students at Bournemouth University and this website was a product of our final unit 'Graduate Project', a part of the Faculty of Media and Communication. The aim of the unit was to have us work with a client, St Peter's Church, to create an output desired by them. We were able to research the lives of the Shelley Godwin family and present our findings in an interesting and engaging way to a rang of audiences, bringing their history to life. As historians we wanted to strengthen the understanding of the family, which in turn, strengthens their local history link to Bournemouth.

Our live exhibition will be held in St Peter's Church from the 31st October to 4th November, we would love to see you there - check out the trailer video for the festival below. Until then please enjoy our webiste and if you have any feedback we would love to here from you!!

Thank You

We would like to give a massive thank you to The Revd Dr Ian Terry, of St Peter's Church for being so supportive of our ideas and visions for this project.

Our Project coordination, Fiona Carson, who has overseen our progress, helping where possible and keeping us on track.

A special thanks to William Trimble, who is completing a Masters (MA) in Radio Production, we would not have achieved such a high level of audio output to compliment our website without his training in radio and sound recording.

Finally, thank you to the rest of the Media and Communications department who have been involved with the Shelley Frankenstein Festival, helping to maintain a local and direct contact with the Bournemouth public community

Success! Message received.
